I remember crawling from the wreckage of the craft I'd managed to cobble together. It had gotten me this far; when I'd set out, I was primarily concerned with getting away from the last place I'd crashed in. That it moved was good enough for me.

I remember looking about, examining the place I'd landed. It was completely inhospitable. Worse, it was freezing; hardly any sunlight. I smacked my forehead -I'd landed at one of the poles, dammit. I wasn't going to freeze to death, but there wouldn't be anyone here I could use.

I crawled back into the wreckage and went to sleep. Maybe someone would come by one day and dig me out.
